WSCA 106.1 FM Portsmouth is a mixed format radio station which welcomes anyone who is interested in furthering our mission.

WSCA is an integral part of the seacoast community as a resource to the non profit, arts and cultural scene. The dedicated volunteer team has firmly established WSCA-LP as New Hampshire’s only mixed format LPFM radio station which is dedicated to serving the listening community.

WSCA 106.1 FM Portsmouth broadcasts diverse and alternative programming which is primarily produced locally and reflects the cultural, educational, artistic, civic, and business fabric of the listening community.

History:
The Portsmouth Community Radio project was initiated in June 2000 when signs were posted around Portsmouth announcing a meeting to discuss applying for a Low Power FM license. WSCA 106.1 FM Portsmouth went on the air on September 12, 2004, and has since been broadcasting a diverse and eclectic mix of music, public affairs, arts, and cultural programming 24/7/365.

Mission:

The mission of Portsmouth Community Radio is to operate a nonprofit, listener supported, volunteer driven, non-commercial FM community radio station dedicated to serving the greater Portsmouth community. Portsmouth Community Radio broadcasts diverse and alternative programming which is primarily produced locally and reflects the cultural, educational, artistic, civic, and business fabric of the listening community.
