Hi, folks!
Well, we’re back. Hope you can join us at The Press Room next Monday, January 10th, for another performance by our jazz trio, Dry Martini. Again, it’ll be Brian Richardson (guitarist/music director), Jeff Lind (bassist) and myself (drums). This time, we’ll be featuring the music of several of the Great American Songbook composers: Irving Berlin, Harold Arlen, George Gershwin, Cole Porter and Jimmy Van Heusen.
Hope you can make it!
And happy new year,
Terry MacDonald

Join host John Lovering as it takes you back to the Golden Age of Radio when radio was the primary source of entertainment for over 90% of American households (1930 – 1955).
Tonight you will hear Chapters 10 through 12 of Carleton E. Morse’s classic “Bury Your Dead Arizona” from his famed series entitled “I Love A Mystery.” Note.. Chapters 13 through 15 (Conclusion) will be heard August 3rd. This is a Mystery-Thriller that involves the small town of Bury Your Dead, Az where residents are being carried off by wolves. Now the wolves are being controlled by a mysterious magician who calls himself the “Maestro.” He claims mind-control over the wolves. Detectives Jack, Doc, and Reggie doubt that this is the case and are up to their eyeballs in a dangerous and perplexing mystery.
Then from Inner Sanctum Mysteries… the creaking door opens upon one of the most popular of the 500 programs produced for this series – “Corridor of Doom” starring the incredible horror film actor, Mr. Boris Karloff. Don’t miss this one! Originally aired in October of 1945, this show retains its excitement to this day!
Next, George Burns and Gracie Allen in their Maxwell House Coffee Time program from February 24, 1949 . The theme for tonight’s hilarious show is that Gracie is urging George to become a doctor. Now, if you are familiar with Gracie Allen, you know that would be REAL Health Care Reform! Listen in and the smiles alone will make you feel better!
Finally, Clayton “Bud” Collyer stars in another of our continuing episodes of “The Adventures of Superman” – tonight from March 6, 1940 comes “The Stabbing of June Anderson” Who is June Anderson and why would anyone want to stab her? Listen in and find out. Look! Up in the sky! It’s SUPERMAN!
